Kadapa by-election: N Kiran Kumar Reddy faces MRPS wrath at Proddatur

By Syed Akbar
Kadapa, May 3: Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy’s public meeting at Proddatur on Tuesday was marred by protests and throwing of flags by MRPS workers demanding categorization of SCs.

Even as the CM was addressing a largely attended election meeting a group of MRPS workers rushed towards the podium and threw MRPS flags at the CM. The security personnel present there, however, pushed them away and resorted to mild lathicharge.

Kiran Kumar Reddy, who went all out offensive against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said, he didn’t even deserve to display YSR’s photograph and seek votes in Rajashekar Reddy’s name.

“He doesn’t have the agenda or ‘janda’ (flag). Even if Jagan Mohan Reddy and his mother win the seats what would two persons, one each in assembly and in parliament achieve.”

Stating that Pulivendulla has been a Congress bastion for well over three decades except for one term in 1984, Jagan Mohan Reddy is now hell bent on snatching it from the Congress.

After completing his election campaign the CM held a secret review meeting with in charge minister MLAs, MLCs, DCC president Makam Ashok and Kamalapuram legislature G Veera Shiva Reddy.
