Your twitter account and iPhone are now vulnerable to cyber security breaches

Syed Akbar
Hyderabad: Your twitter account and iPhone are now
vulnerable to cyber security breaches. Twitter is hit by a bug that
“unfollow” you from your favourite film star or sports personality
without yourself opting for it. And the iPhone, which is secured with
a four-digit password, can be unlocked in less than 50 seconds.

Twitter has acknowledged security vulnerability, which it said was
trying to rectify. Many twitter users have complained that the
microblogging site had unfollowed him or her without their clicking on
the “unfollow” icon. It says it is a “known” issue and its users need
not worry about it.

The problem came to notice after twitter received a number of
complaints that the microblogging site had “unfollowed” them from
their favourite ones. Twitter acknowledged that it was a bug that was
doing the mischief and it was fixing it. The problem resulted in
either famous personalities losing their followers or the common man
“unfollowing” their favourite ones.

Identifying a security breach in iPhone, a software company in Europe
has found that a micro Systemation application known as XRY can unlock
the iPhone operating system. It can even breach the Android phone’s
password and transfer the data to a personal computer. It can also
identify the location of the user.

But security agencies have found this cyber breach quite useful as
they can decode the Android and iPhone used by anti-social elements
and criminals.

Twitter has posted on its support blog: “A person you've recently
followed shows in your following tab, but appears with a follow icon
so it looks like you're not following them.
Visit their profile if you'd like to confirm you're following them.”

Earlier, Facebook had fixed a problem that allowed the social
networking site “see” the internet and browsing history of the users.
